Texas Organ Sharing Alliance Honors Organ Donors During Día de los Muertos

The Ofrendas y Recuerdos event features an altar with more than 110 organ donors, offering a meaningful way to remember and pay tribute to their loved ones

WHAT: This Día de los Muertos, Texas Organ Sharing Alliance invites families to honor their loved ones who gave the gift of life through organ donation during the Ofrendas y Recuerdos event on Saturday, November 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This heartfelt event welcomes donor families to visit TOSA’s altar to reflect, remember, and celebrate their loved ones who gave the gift of life. The event will provide an opportunity to leave a sealed ofrenda and feature mariachi music by students from Burbank High School, crafts, light refreshments, and an opportunity to place a marigold flower on their loved one’s medal at the Wall of Heroes.

WHO: TOSA President and CEO Joseph Nespral, VP and Chief Performance Officer Jessica Rudd, and Donor Families.

WHEN: Saturday, November 1 | 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Texas Organ Sharing Alliance | 5051 Hamilton Wolfe Dr, San Antonio, TX 78229

WHY: For five decades, TOSA has been the only organ procurement organization in the region. Since 1975, TOSA has been dedicated to the lifesaving mission of organ donation and providing compassionate care and grief support to families before, during, and after donation.
