HOUSTON—April 20, 2026—University of Houston’s freshman point guard Kingston Flemings announced that he is entering the 2026 NBA Draft at an on-campus press conference yesterday. Projected to be a top-10 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, Kingston will forgo his remaining college eligibility.
Described as “lightning in a bottle” by FanSided, Kingston finished his freshman season averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game across 37 games. He broke a 45-year-old record for points in a season by a Houston freshman. He was named to the John R. Wooden Award All-America Team along with the NABC, USBWA, The Sporting News, Field of 68, and Andy Katz All-America Second Teams. His strengths in the upcoming draft include speed, rim pressure, and 3-level scoring ability, and analysts have compared him to De’Aaron Fox and Coby White. He was a five-star recruit coming out of San Antonio’s William J. Brennan High School.
Kingston Flemings is repped by Erika Ruiz at Primera Sports.
